Instructions for the Hair Bands:
Cut off a section of duc_ tape that is 30" or longer. Fold the tape
onto itself so the final piece is the same length, just 1/2 the width
and non-sticky on both sides. Using scissors, cut the width of this
strip to desired thickness if you want it thinner. (Keep it long, just
thinner) Measure the head of the person who will wear the hair band. Add
1" for overlap on the back. Cut the strip to this new length. Add 1"
pieces of velcro to the ends of the strip making sure to place one part
on the outside of the duc_ tape strip and the other piece of velcro on
the under side of the duc_ tape strip. The hair band is complete. You
can now decorate your hair band.
For Roses on the Hair Band:
Cut off a section of duc_ tape that is 5" or longer. Fold the tape
onto itself so the final piece is the same length, just 1/3 the width
and non-sticky on both sides. Trim the length to be 3" long. Coil the
tape around it self starting with one end at it's length and ending at
the other end. Allow the coil to be tighter at one end and open more the
other side. This will create a rose like the one in the picture. Use
glue to attach the rose to the hair band. Make more and attach them
also.
Decorate with stickers, jewels etc...
